About WaterTech
The WaterTech 2010 conference, which combines two highly successful annual events, WaterTech and WastewaterTech, will overlap due to the increasing and growing importance of wastewater topics in the Middle East. The conference will address key water resource and water demand management issues in the Middle East, including an in-depth look at wastewater treatment and reuse which is now a key priority for regional governments. Committee Member Recruitment for Walk for Water Event
Opportunity to volunteer as a committee member at Childcare Worldwide
Childcare Worldwide Canada is currently recruiting volunteers to join their Walk for Water Event Committee.
Beginning in January 2010, the position will require a 6-month commitment. As a committee member, you will be part of our weekly planning meetings as we organize for our exciting & upcoming walk-a-thon event at Bear Creek Park, Surrey, BC on June 27, 2010. The walk-a-thon is a fundraising event focussed on building wells in Africa and bringing awareness to our community on the importance of access to clean water.
Our current Walk for Water Committee Members are dedicated to building wells in areas of Africa and enhancing the quality of life for women, children and families who have been impacted by the international water crisis. We are looking for dedicated individuals with first-hand experience in event coordination and operations, walk-a-thons or fundraising.
In addition, we are looking for individuals who have experienced living in areas of the world where water restrictions, lack of water, poor water conditions are prevalent.

This past week , 10-12 November, The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Water Convention in Geneva, marked an important milestone in the improvement of trans-boundary water management in the UNECE region. Hot issues included climate change, adaption, trans-boundary cooperation, implementation and compliance.
